Starting the Fascination Project

I am working with Jack on an Avant Garde style short film. He originally got the idea of doing a rotating shot of a person's eye, and we've been working on finding a way to turn that idea into a larger story. I thought about experimenting with camera angles, color grading, and aspect ratio to represent how people view the world.

I plan on starting with a more dark and blurry look and then transitioning to have more color and clarity toward the end. There will also likely be little dialogue, with most ideas being portrayed through visuals and sound design. We will also rely on props and still shots and change them throughout the film.

Neither of us have editing experience, so I'm watching YouTube videos about it and I plan to use the free Adobe products we have thanks to NCC providing it to students. I will also be re-watching music videos and movie clips to find shots that I like and could recreate. I will listen to some new music and try to use one or two in the short film.
